Architecture & Interior Design

I have been lucky enough to design and propose for some really exciting projects. You can browse through some of my latest work here.

NYOI - RAMEN & SUSHI RESTAURANT

Along with my colleague, we had the chance to transform a derelict entrance floor of a building in central Stockholm into a modern Scandinavian interior that would be a Ramen restaurant.

We decided to diffuse Scandinavian design with Japanese design details. With abstract and basic colour choices for the walls, floor and ceiling, we decided to elevate the furniture and the bar with surprising details.

SLOTTSPAVILJONGEN A PAVILION ON ROYAL GROUND

Slottspaviljongen is a Restaurant situated on the land of the Royal Family.

I had the opportunity to design a outdoor seating area for the restaurant overlooking the Royal castle. As challenging as it was, I could not be more excited to share the approved drawings and the pending design intent.

BIOPHILIC INTERIOR DESIGN

How can we make an office space exciting ? Is that even possible?

This is a design proposal for a big office space for an insurance company in Stockholm. The company is to leave its current office space and move into a new space that can accommodate their needs and facilitate the everyday 9-5 job hours.

EPISODES OF FEELINGS

Narrative driven Design, Master of Architecture MSA

If our environment changed based on our feelings, how would it look/transform?

I wanted to experiment how a room, a bed, a corridor is experienced through the eyes of someone that is going through a heavy period in life. The feeling of not wanting to get out of bed has created the concept of the sunken bed…

OUTDOOR FURNITURE DESIGN

The most exciting part of this task was to design an outdoor furniture for a bakery based on iterations of tango dancing, a loaf of bread and model iterations.

After spending days in the workshop, a back to back two-part wooded seating furniture with curvature was created. A truly hands-on project.

TUBE HOUSE

A house of cardboard tubes

Inspired by Shigeru Bans cardboard church in New Zeeland. I set out to understand the construction behind carboard architecture and tried to design a small student home. My concept was basic: affordable and fast design. The aim was to study fast built architecture to help out countries in need of shelters after unfortunate natural disasters.

BORING ARCHITECTURE

What is boring and what makes something exciting. On Italo Calvino’s Invisible cities, I found so many exciting elements within the architecture described on the chapters, throughout the book, I found nothing abstract but everything explained in details and richness of craftmanship. I came to realise, boring to me might than mean - Trahere in latin meaning - To pull something essential out of the totality of which it is a part of which equates to the concept of abstract.

CAPTURING A CULTURE SKINHEAD

This project aimed to increase availability and accessibility of a street in central Stockholm. The street has a history of being occupied by skinhead culture. I wanted to use this opportunity to elevate and increase the culture, to teach and engage people from different classes in what it means to be from the skinhead culture.

In my proposal I increase the grafitti and make it visible through air and water kilometres away. Finally, people started calling this approach Antidesign

LIVING ON THE EDGE

This project is placed within the edge of the mountain chain of the Yoros Castle, Istanbul. Providing a natural, silent environment. People can use the openings on the walls as seating areas and enjoy the view of the blacksea. The project aims towards towards harmony with the surrounding nature.
