How can we merge Scandinavian design with Japanese craftmanship?

NYOI was an opportunity for us to work from inception to completion with what is now a sushi and ramen restaurant in Stockholm. The space we got is around 100sqm, and therefor our idea was to maximise seating and increase interaction between guests and waiters. The result is a space with a living room feeling with Japanese wooden ornaments and some very exciting colouring. We decided to keep things simple and only use wooden furniture (some of which are bespoke) with a pink tinted concrete bar. Although the space is limited, we managed to maintain our initial idea of having bar seating, date (double) seating and a big group meet-up seating.
