PRIZEFIGHTER LIFE OF JEM BELCHER

“At the turn of the 19th century, Pugilism was the sport of kings and a gifted young boxer fought his way to becoming champion of England.”

Prizefighter was the first project that heavily involved being part of the design and look of the film. I was trusted to work alongside the director and cinematographer to build the visual look of the film. The story is set in early 19th century with flashbacks to late 18th century, and therefor a heavy research into Classical and Tudor architecture was my main focus. My colour palette was Georgian with soft beige leading up to stronger brown with light blue accents. I am very lucky to have been trusted and have had this film as one of my first experiences as an Art Director/ Assistant Production Designer.
